For books I like Vade Mecum. It is a free plucker format reader, and you can download a great many books in that format for free from www.projectgutenberg.org.

I have read Last of the Mohicans on Vade Mecum and am now reading Moby ****, with Ulysses and some Finnish mythological tales soon to come.

Vade Mecum is very nice and stable with good bookmarking features and options to customize the font and layout of any ebook.
