Searching around tonight and I found a program taht I know alot of you will love.

Steelsoft RingsSMSTone Manager.


Steelsoft RingsSMSTone Manager allows you to set individual ringtone and text alerts for contacts in your address book. Something that can not be accomplished throught the standard WM contacts address book.

Works pretty well. I installed it on my Touch Pro and it sent a couple of text messages from my other phone and called it a few times. Works great. It also has the option of running in the background. Check it out. They a have a 5 day trial and to buy the program its only $10.

I might be wrong but u can set any kinda tone y want for emails,text msg and calls and set personal ringtones for contacts right from the address book via edit than ringtone

Just put the ringtone in My document and you should be able to change the Text message ringtone

any ringtone once its in there so no need for this app :-D

This app lets you add personal SMS tones for each individual contact, which is not possible without this software. You can only set one tone for all SMS otherwise.

Ok but one more feature is not worth 10bucks :-? but that is nice different ringtone for ppl in your contact book for text msg :-D but Either way nice find to the OP and thanks for clearing that up for me defamed01 :headbang:

There's a few other programs that do the exact same thing. I've used Ringo before.

I'm not a big fan of custom ringtones to begin with.

I'm looking for something that will allow custom alerts for emails. And by that I mean if I get an important email from a contact I would like to get audible alert. Any other random email just to vibrate.

This program is so slow if you have a lot of contacts because it loads all contacts every time you go to assign a ring tone.

Looking at Ringo now. But it seems pretty old and not updated from what I can find.

What other ones are out there?

photocontacts is the best contacts program out.

I use MRing. I just didn't really care for the photocontacts. Its a great software, but I like how my contacts are as is. I dont like this ToneManager cause it has to run in the background, if you close it - it doesn't work. MRing...just assign & go.

Look into Phonealarm. It may do other features that you do not need but i recently found out that it does custom sms and email tones. I was already using phonealarm but this new feature made me love it even more. :headbang:
