new idea for ppc app? Flight Info
 

Hey guys, I'm not sure this has been suggested before.. but for someone who flys somewhat often -- is it possible to have an app that looks up and displays flight information after input of flight number? Things like Gate information, delays or on-time, etc? Which baggage claim gate to go to, etc? This would be awesome! Maybe even display your mobile boarding pass or something? Any other ideas and thoughts? Any one interested in taking the lead?

While this is not specific flight info, it's a good airport "app".

This is actually an iphone "app" but it works fine on a ppc. It lists every airport in the country and gives you air traffic delays in real time, current weather conditions, security wait times for individual security checkpoints, and a direct link to the google map for each airport.

Solved.... just send a text message to Google. It will send you the flight info...

If the flight has multiple onloads / offloads it will send all of the info for you.

I use it all the time for flight info. I have google as one of my regular contacts. It also can query other things easily.

There is a great program that runs under Palm called Flight Status by Andrewsoft. I got hooked on the program. It is freeware, however donations are welcome.

I run it under Styletap launcher along with a couple of other palm apps that I absolutely love.

If you take the time to set up the program under style tap you will never go back.

Most airlines have a link on their website that will allow you to set up SMS or email notifications for your flight
