Problem with 'Storage' file

Hey guys,

hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I attempted to install the TCPMP "All in One" YouTube player found in this post http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=50788&page=66
and decided it wasn't for me. I did follow the instructions in the post, using the MobileDefinitionTV_stroths cab found in the thread and also installed the Saturn cab for movies. after toying with it for some time, as mentioned before, i decided it wasn't for me, so i removed the programs using the standard "remove programs" menu. After soft-resetting, the following error popped up:

Storage:

The file 'Storage' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file.

Does anyone have any info/experience with this error? I'm really trying to avoid a hard reset, for obvious reasons. Please tell me there is a simple fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when are you getting the error? sounds like your trying to run tcpmp after you removed it. or is the error just popping up after soft reset? go into windows drectory and look around there for files leftover from your uninstall. your not going to have to hard reset. just dl tcpmp you want again and youll be fine. (after completely removing old files.)

Hey Darren,

I appreciate the quick response! I am getting the error on a soft reset. I have completely (at least i believe) removed TCPMP, as it just wasn't working for me. As previously mentioned, I used the Technology1 post following the instructions and using the stroths all in one cab to install. i also installed the Saturn cab file. after tooling around with it, i uninstalled and soft reset and the error started to appear. I definitely hope your right about not having to hard reset. i'll try to poke around and see if there are any leftover files to remove.

other than that, any other ideas?
