Spam Filter
Is there a spam filter available for WM? Considering I get 40 or so messages a day, and 34 of them are spam, I would like to be able to have a spamblocker such as those that are available for Desktop operating systems. Is this available?

Re: Spam Filter
Thanks, but is there something that is freeware? (Yes, I know I could probably find it for free on 4shared, but I try to keep piracy to an absolute minimum, and I can't afford to buy many applications for my phone. The only thing I actually bought is Pocket Tunes. Everything else is freeware on my phone

Re: Spam Filter
What email accounts are you using? Yahoo has excellent spam blocking once trained.

Re: Spam Filter
I hate to be that guy that says, "You're doign something wrong", but you shouldn't get ANY spam if you use Gmail and are careful about who you give your email out to. I've had my main Gmail account for three years and have never had a single bit of spam.
My hotmail, however, gets several hundred a week. I use this email to register for sites I dont necessarily trust and only check it when I'm expecting something like a confirmation email. I would just recommend registering for a Gmail account and being careful and retiring your old email for what I've described above. IMO, spam filters should never be needed. The only time I've needed a spam filter is on my company email because of how careless some idiots are with their computers while they work from home. |
Re: Spam Filter
The spam problem exists on my SoftHome account, the other ones are basically spam-free.

Even if you do get spam on a Gmail account they have excellent filtering. |
