Re: Google Chrome mobile? How is it?

when i Ported my Vogue to Android, i used chromium and really like it, i know eventually it will be available for Winmo. I mean we know it will def work on the phone itself obviously so its just a matter of "Porting it " to work on the Winmo infastructure. All in due time friends.

I think a lightweight Chrome Mobile would be nice. I think we are still a ways off though from a WinMo build.

from the article.

" Consumers, of course, may be wary about this level of scrutiny. To counter their suspicions, Chrome has to be able to load Web pages faster than other browsers and be appreciably easier to navigate, says Martin. "Those are the kinds of things that will resonate immediately with consumers," he says. (Chrome also features an "Incognito" mode, which allows users to browse without leaving identifying markers.)

If Google wants Chrome to be loaded onto a variety of mobile devices, beyond Android, it will need to persuade manufacturers and, possibly, wireless operators. That could be difficult as those companies develop their own suites of mobile services and proprietary software. AT&T (nyse: T - news - people ) is building a Firefox-based browser, called Pogo, though so far only for desktops. (See "AT&T Pogos Into Customers' Lives.") "
