Do me a favor and try something for me, especially if you are on a Sprint TP.

With Seven running in the BG, see if you can do a PRL or Profile update. Also, try Sprint TV. Just opening Sprint TV isn't enough. Actually see if you are able to view a channel.

Let me know what you find out.

This is a good program, its also what Sprint Mobile Email application is based off of, but allows more accounts to be accessed.

Anybody got the cab or install file? Everytime I try to download I get an error. And when I try on my phone it does nothing.

PRL Update: No go.
Sprint TV: all channels work, no problems.:???:

I never knew Seven was stopping the PRL-up app but I updated mine via *2 before I knew about the app in settings. :P

Yep, kills the PRL and the profile updates. I am rather surprised your Sprint TV worked. Seven was causing the same issues with the TV. It would go all the way to just before the TV plays then errors out. Pause Seven and it works again. Anyway, I brought it up top the developers and basically I was told that the free version will be this way and the paid version will work with no problem. They blame it on Microsoft and didn't want to submit it as a bug until I pushed some more. Great program but I am not liking how the developers seem to work.

Re: very good push email

Hey all,
Dont know if anyone has had these problems since where talkin about the SEVEN push email program. Come to find out that the program sends international text messages when you install it . Wanted to give you all a heads up, I am on sprint and the tell me they cant block those kind of text messages. I am not sure if other carriers have international text messages blocked but here is the email response below including the number that the text messages go too ( you can even google the phone number and it will tell you more about the phone number ). I recently uninstalled my Seven program and installed Emoze push email and so far it works great.

Here is the email I was talking about...
Form: Ask A Question-Manage
Topic: Billing / Payment
SUB Topic: Billing Inquiry/Invoice Charges
================================================== ===========
Original Question: text messages
Question: Good Day,
I have a problem, the past 2 months I keep getting charged for
international text messages that I am not sending?? Is there a way to
block these please, I do not know why I am getting charged these but
theres gotta be a way to stop these. Nothing is showing up in my sent
folders, etc....
Is there a way to provide me the number that these supposed text
messages are going too?
Please help,
Thank you

HERE IS THE RESPONSE (not angry )....
hank you for contacting Sprint.

I understand your concern regarding the charge of International text
messages on your account.

I can see that your account was charged $1.40 for 7 International text
messages used on your phone 3004 during last billing cycle. You have
two unbilled International text messages in the current bill cycle. The
phone number to which these messages were sent is 447624802625.

Account was also charged $0.60 for 3 international text messages on the
invoice generated on December 16, 2008.

I am sorry, as there is not way to block international text messaging
service on your phone. However, as you were not aware of this, I have
applied a credit of $1.40 + $0.60 = $2.00 on your account. This credit
will reflect on your next invoice and on your online account after 4
hours from now.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with, I
will be glad to do so.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

Sincerely,
Bradley T.

Re: very good push email

Good find! I had a similar issue with Sprint on my last bill. Now I know where the international text is coming from!

Re: very good push email

Your very welcome, cause for life sake I couldn't figure out where they where coming from. I would try different burned roms, etc... on my phone and then reinstalling seven. I didn't think that's where it was coming from until I googled the phone number the text where going too then it told me..spread the word.
Of course SEVEN wont email me back on this issue.....

Re: very good push email

I knew it was Seven that's causing this! I've been getting these international text messages that I've never sent as well, and I had a strong suspicion that it was this program. It's a shame. This is the best push email I've found.

Re: very good push email

I have posted this issue in the forums for Seven. So far I have heard nothing back but I would imagine it will be seen and commented on soon. I know the issue was brought up for the symbian client already and it sounded like it should only send an SMS on initial registration. I hope to get more clarification soon though.

Re: very good push email

I have some new information on this:

Do you see the sent SMS messages in your Sent Items folder?
Can you confirm the full version number from teh About screen? Perhaps you got it somewhere else?
We are making it a point to very clearly warn the user upon installation of this. That should be the case starting with the next client update for each platform.

According to Seven, this is the first they have heard of it...if you like the program and you don't want this happening, it would be a good idea to post there and let them know. If only a couple people mention it, they won't bother fixing it. I will post a link to where I have started a thread there so that if you do want to post, you won't have to create a whole new thread. Will post it in a min.

Here is the thread: http://community.seven.com/viewtopic.php?t=2749

Good to see posts showing up over there. That will help them see how wide spread this issue is and hopefully they will fix/change it.
