MyMobiler warning

I saw some positive posts about this program & decided to give it a shot although I don't have any pressing need for it.

I DL'ed & ran it & everything seemed fine at first. I opened it up & saw a big beautiful image of my TF3D Home screen on my laptop & then clicked on the clock (totally by accident, but I was just getting the hang of things). It opened up the clock settings on my TouchPro, but then it refused to close out again (actually it closed in the phone but was totally frozen in my laptop)

I didn't figure it was any big deal & rebooted the laptop. That's when the problems started. At that point, the LT no longer recognized the phone (I was getting "unrecognized USB device" errors). I could not connect with either MyMobiler or ActiveSync. I spent the next 45 minutes trying to get it to connect with no luck whatever.

At that point, I restored my LT to a restore point from yesterday morning & now everything works fine again. I know MM works just fine for some of our posters, but I certainly won't try it again any time soon & just figured I would at least warn people of what MIGHT happen if you use it.

I knew as soon as I posted this that there would be a half dozen responses like this. If I hadn't seen that it worked for other people, I never would have downloaded it in the first place.

Since I don't really know what I would ever use it for anyway, I wasn't going to waste half the day troubleshooting it.

I'm glad it works for you guys, but it certainly didn't for me so I just wanted to warn of possible problems people may or may not run in to.

If my laptop was an outdated POS, I would figure that was the problem but that's not the case at all. I bought it three weeks ago, brand new & its running WindowsXP.

Sorry about ur troubles, but I have never had a problem with Mymobiler. You must have had the ID-10-T error. Don't worry it happens to us all.

That's not really called for, he's just bringing up an issue he experienced. I've had my phone freeze from My Mobiler before on Vista, any time I tried to uninstall something while using it.

THIS forum is meant for just these things. NOT everybody has the same experiences with certain items and they chose to bring it to light in case others have the same.

No need to be an a$$....right?

mymobiler & ceregeditor are the only things i use activesync for actually.. ;) and then it's pretty much to take screen-shots.
I'm guessing activesync on xp got hosed when you opened the time settings.. activesync is very picky with time-date.

Wasn't being an A$$/or trying to be one. I do have a problem with giving a warning before asking for a solution. All that needed to be done was a restart of the phone and computer. If the Op thought I was being mean, I do apologies.
