It appears that I was wrong about Verizon changing to TDMA, as it appears to be older (in the wiki article, it says 2G. also, it's used on GSM networks.)

Verizon is changing to LTE. They are supposed to have the first areas up next year.

You can use dpi files from any build! All you need is sys common files.

Maybe that's what I was thinking of. I knew I heard from trustworthy sources that they were changing their technology to something faster.
