Re: Push to talk for your touch pro..

you have to install it on your computer first - from there u can register and add contacts- than they will show up on the mobile app..

Re: Push to talk for your touch pro..

I have installed it and it works good. Doesn't use your minutes when talking. It could be kind of like Mobile to Mobile for WinMo users and can cross carriers. Anyways, does anyone know how to enable a sound/alert when initiating or receiving PTT transmission like the infamous Nextel chirp? I noticed that on the PC version it has a chirp.

Re: Push to talk for your touch pro..

i have two seperate accounts installed on two different devices, and on my desktop, but i can't add contacts. The other device (contact) never gets a message to confirm or authorize them to be a friend. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks

I didn't get an authorization message either. I just added contacts from both devices. In other words, add Contact A with Contact B's account. Then add Contact B with Contact's A account. That should do it. I did notice the server takes a very long time though.

update i have tried both loudtalks and palringo .. here is the difference .. palringo u get text, push 2 talk, and instant pics but the push to talk is recorded so theres a small delay (minute) this can b and advantage bcause if u miss what the person says u can replay it.. loudtalks just has push to talk thats it but it is instant just like nextell

Highly doubt it. There's a reason people pay for nextel service.

Also, how is the battery life affected?

I have been using italkie by tabletmedia but requires wifi and does a huge drain on the battery.

But I wanted to note after wrecking my brain if you have palringo or any messenger* that runs when you start up your ppc make sure you log off the program(s) (palringo, beejive etc). then log onto loudtalks on your ppc or computer. I noticed palringo* was causing conflicts running at the same time and would not let me use loudtalks on my phone but it would work on my computer. once palringo was disabled it would now show my added contacts on loudtalks and go into my settings . works great!

Re: Push to talk for your touch pro..

The loudtalks PTT. It's very instant. The only thing the TP doesn't have a PTT button. Besides that it's fast. Thank you. Great program
