Changing a jpg file to tsk?
I have been messing around with some jpg files as today backgrounds from my pictures stored on my WX....How do I change those into a tsk file so they will appear as theme options on the Appearance tab? Is is as simple as changing the extension and dropping it into the Windows directory? Also, will the .tsk file take less storage?
Attached is a example of what I am working on.....Thanks in advance http://upload8.postimage.org/904365/...BreakUpNew.jpg |
Well no...
You can't just transform a JPG into a TSK. TSK files also have more info, like system colors, etc. You have 2 options, either get a PPC theme creator, or just go to Settings - Today and browse for the image you want to use as background, it will then ask you what level of transparency you want the image to have. Finally, you can use a program like UITweaker to change the system colors manually to your liking. |

Well the other one is to get a PPC theme creator, there's a couple out there. I can't remember the names because I never used one... never found one I liked.
If you run a search you'll probbaly find some links... |
will do...thanks for the tip.

Here you go, this is the one that lets you make black top and bottom bars (as opposed to the gray)
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...ence-v1-6.html Not sure if it is the latest version, but that is the one you want. You can make different pics for portrait vs. landscape, as well as the start menu background for both screen orientations. |
