Skyfire on Non-Cellular PDA
1 Attachment(s)
For anyone who cares you CAN use Skyfire on a non-cellular PDA, such as an iPaq, a Dell, etc. My father who has an iPaq wanted to listen to a local Radio station which streams online via a flash plug-in. I new IE wouldn't work so I tried Skyfire on my Mogul and sure enough it worked.
So, I installed Skyfire on his iPaq just to see what kinda error we would get and it just said it couldn't open some junk, can't remember exactly. I looked around and I found some DLLs that only the phone version of WM has. They were phone.dll and sms.dll. I dropped them into /Windows and sure enough they work! I have pakaged Skyfire with the two DLLs here in a zip, just install the cab then drop the two DLLs in the /Windows folder. Merry CHRISTmas! |
