Want both TF3D and Today Screen?
 

If you like Touch Flo 3D, but also occasionally have a ping of longing for the orginal Today Screen that WM has, then you will definitely want to read this thread over at XDA....

It allows you to switch between your Touch Flo screen and the original Today screen of WM 6.1... This is where you can download it... It is a .RAR file.. It has the .CAB inside...

Also... This program has been reviewed by Darren...... He personally does not recommend this app... I tend to agree with his opinion...

SWEEEET! Thanks for the heads up. Much more responsive than secondToday or mToday. You may want to cross-post this into the Weather Panel Thread. There has been discussion about using a second today program since TF3D doesn't play nice with any other plugin and a lot of us "Weather Panel Freaks" were looking for a better way to enjoy the new VGA look of WP. Ought to be good for a few more thanks ;)

im lost on this. what does it do. the vids. are junk. the op dont help me much either. no you bd. i run second today and phatfinger with wp. so this can help with that? what do i dl to my pro? ill try to figure it out. bd, any help?

kindof a crappy way of thinking. i like thankyous but i guess not the way you do. i like to post apps. and cabs that i have personally used. just me i guess.

is it possible that the mogul can get tf3d? i have M2 already on it. if so can i get the cab file posted. i also don't have a computer right now while i travel :disgust::angry7:

hey darren,
i was looking at this app a week ago wondering if it was indeed better than 2nd today... there were still bugs when i first read up on it and i also heard it takes up a lot of memory. What did you find about it that you don't like? I was tempted to test it out, but if there's a legitimate reason to stick with 2nd today then I'll let it wait. BTW, 2nd today has been good to me and the plugins i use work perfectly, so i don't have a reason to switch really.

Yeah... I only post stuff if I have at least tried it and can tell there is nothing wrong with it.. I don't like to promote stuff if I don't have the cajolnes to use it myself.. Also.. I like thanks, but if I don't get them it's alright :)

No... The mogul can not run Touch Flo 3D.. It can run Touch Flo 2D however...

thx it was worth a shot. guess ill stick with 2d. still going to get it for my gf she loves the Pro.....guess thats one thing my mogul can't have ^^

its a mem. hog. does same thing as second. launches from softkey, same as second. 3 of my 5 plugins were all jarbled (couldnt read them) im very happy with second t. same app. that has a bigger mem.usage and plugins dont all show. dont get the app. really. wp looked the same, so its not worth it. good part was, it uninstalled easily.

I installed it and have had mtoday. I do not know about the memory that Darren spoke of because I uninstalled mtoday but it seems to me like the transition from tf3d to today screen and vice versa is instant where as with mtoday not so much.

I liked that in the video he was using finger gestures to switch between the 2. I am not sure how he did it, but it is something that I presume would be easy to do with other software. I have a couple of plugins active and they are all fine. I am going ot set up rss hub and see if it looks ok.

I am not saying Darren is wrong but my memory is at 37% and I do not think it is too bad.

i dunno, i've heard even in the original xda thread that this program uses up more memory than 2nd today. As for the instantaneous transitions, have you tried 2nd today? I find it's pretty quick even on first launch... after that, it switches and loads plugins with a blink of an eye. Haven't ever tried mtoday, so i can't compare.

i use klaxon, but im now using g alarm. been playing with it for 20min. its very nice.

I thought mtoday was the same as 2nd today just the most recent version with a name change.

That's what I thought until i downloaded second today last night.

Anyway, I cant get it setup right. I want TF3D as my main screen and SPB PhoneSuite & Diary as my Second screen. But if kept messing up. mToday kept making me have to soft reset when returning to the TF3D screen .

Any help Darren?

I installed this program and it seems to be working fine with the standard Sprint ROM.

I haven't tried mToday or second today so I can't compare. Can someone point me to the second today cab?

Man, I wish I had known about solutions like this when this was first posted. I may have bought the Touch Pro in that case. As much as I love the look of Touch Flo I just can't get myself to get rid of the Today screen. Its too useful to me.

Manila Control is working great and has really made this phone so much better. I am using the standard windows today screen along with TouchFlo now and I an not missing notifications or appointments. Thanks again to the author.
