i can't believe no one has helped you out!

For flexmail to run gmail you need to do the following:

Incoming:
smtp.gmail.com
port 993
username@gmail.com
password
use secure connection -> implicit & ssl2, ssl3 NO tls1

Outgoing:
smtp.gmail.com
port 465
authentication required
use secure connection -> implicit & ssl2, ssl3 NO tls1

enjoy!

I am using flexmail on a vx 6700, and using cricket... I can never connect using EVDO. I have tried all of your recommend setting (although for incoming, I am pretty sure, it should imap.gmail.com), but no go what so ever... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

you might want to check out the forums at pocketinformant.com; they seem to be very responsive to issues with their software (including flexmail).

The application has these mail servers set up as templates - I used them to set up Flastmail, Yahoo! and GMail. I also used the defaults to set up Everyone.net.

Thanks for the info on the templates... I had never paid attention to that previously... Now if I could only sort out how to send and received mall via EVDO, I would be good to go!

How well does flexmail integrate with the TF3D interface?

I too have the same exact problem. I believe it has to do with the name of the connection you have for programs to access. Example: I have my connection named to "Cricket", but it seems that flexmail only connects to connections named either "The Internet" or "Work". Did you ever succeed at sending/receiving via EVDO? If so, what are the names of your connections?

I don't think it does at all.
