Better Calendar?

Is there a better calendar out there? I'd like something that looks more like my Outlook2007, with colored bars that stretch across the dates of appointments (instead of little triangles that tell you nothing unless you zoom way in)..

?

Pocket informant has appointment bars on the "month view".

My only criticism is that the same "appointment bars" drop out of the "week view" on pocket informant. Overall though, its a great program.

Pocket Informant is king.
Search the forum for Tukimi, for a lighter weight, less comlete freeware ap to try if you like.
And if you are wanting a better today plugin, try the free Today Agenda, my favorite!

+1 for Pocket Informant and Today Agenda. I use both...TA sits on my today screen under a Mobile Shell tab and PI is my default calendar/contact program.

All you have to do is go to the Calendar, menu, view, and you can change to however you want. Look just like your PC outlook. :)

I use ThumbCal. The interface is clean, easy to use, and you have the option to run the outlook calendar if you want to. It's also very finger friendly.

Pocket Informant was ok, but the problem I had with it is that it replaced my contacts with its built in contact lookup, which I didn't really like.

wow, That looks like a VERY nice application. The price is a bit steep (although on par with other similar programs). I'm going to look into it a little more and see if I can find some user review. It looks to me though like it has the most user friendly interface. I'd really prefer to not have to take out a stylus as much as I do with the stock calander program.

??

When I go to Calendar/Menu/View, all I get is the option to change views from Agenda/Day/Week/Month/Year..

?

I'm hoping for something that retains the 'categories' I set in Outlook, so my green business appointments stay green in the WM Calendar, blue appointments stay blue, etc..

Re: Better Calendar?

I installed the 12 day trial of Calendar Touch, and it seems very promising. I like how all your appointments show up on the bottom half of the split screen when you press on a day, and how the day bubbles up to show you selected it. Using gestures to go from month to month doesn't transition as smooth as ThumbCal, but the interface is very nice, and it gives you more options than ThumbCal. I'll have to play with it a bit more, but I just might go with this over ThumbCal.
