arcsoft MMS now working on sprint again!?! (12-8-08)
 

over on treocentral (dont have a link. using mini on my titan) someone said that arcsoft is working on sprint again. is this true? anyone test it out? did i miss the memo?

side note, i found out by reading a post over at sprintusers.com

there is...i tested a cab that worked in my old mogul...i attached the cab for you.. try it out and let me know...

It works for sending. A little grainy on a full VGA phone.

When receiving pictures you still receive them through the standard Sprint Picture mail software.

For sending.... .works soo much better.........

So now the question is... can we remove the Sprint Picture Mail Software?

I use sMMS Picturemail now and I have no intentions of moving back. SomeGuyMMS has done an outstanding job of creating an application that Sprint should of had in the first place.

Many people seem to agree, if you've been using sMMS, Sprint's offering is a step backwards.

If I've learned one thing on PPCGeeks in 2yrs, its that if there is some awesome news about phones,
someone probably already knows it, and posted it.

ARCSOFT MMS IS WORKING AGAIN ON SPRINT!

this isn't the POS program that sprint released a month or 2 ago, this is the original program (ripped from palm phones i beleave) that was hacked and ported over years ago and worked great until Sprint (and only sprint) nurfed it for there ppc phones. ask any of our verizon or altell friends here and they will tell you what i'm talking about.

I think that after all the stuff that Sprint did to block the arcsoft program and with the releaes of sMMS, that there's not much excitement anymore since people have already found substitutes and are pretty happy with it.

I have been using sMMS for sometime now and never even bothered with Sprint's program. I do see that sMMS will send me a full picture isntead of a link when I test send it to myself on the TP- have yet to send it to someone else with a WM phone- is this true for your guys too (sorry for a semi-hijacking)? I guess this is at least one good thing about Sprint opening up picturemail for use WM users.
