WeatherPanel has no data for this city?
 

Ok, I'm new to forums and I've been searching and reading about weather panel and I've installed it but on my today screen I have the message WeatherPanel has no data for this city, Please connect to the Internet to download updated data, Also it seems my internet explorer has gone down when Weatherpanel is open.

How did you go about adding your city to WP? After you add your city you might try a soft reset too.

Just to expand on the soft reset you may want to first take WP off of your Today Screen, then soft reset. Once back up and running establish a connection to the net. Then go and insert WP back on to your Today Screen, and update the data. :)

I experienced the same problem with WP.

I tried 4 different zip codes around me, and it stopped updating my city information. And a flip side, my Treo kept looking up.

I un-installed WP and the look ups are gone. I miss WP, but X-CAST is simple and nice!

Location Code: (My zip code)

nothing else am I missing something?

Do not enter your zip in the "location code" box. Just enter your city in the "search for" box and hit search.

You then select your city from the pulldown menu below the "search for" box. Click "ok" and you're done. You can then add radar images, etc.

^ Okay finally got it to come up great, I appreciate all of the quick help

I solved the problem by searching for my city, state. I failed to include the state which I think might have been what I was doing wrong

Now on to customizing

let us know if you run into any other problems. I totally love WP and have never had any problems with it.

I have just finished with a host of "customizing" to WP that I found here. As a nOOb myself, I would suggest doing the following:

Use your ActiveSync to browse and pull the icons to your desktop for editing. (thanks storyr for this tip) Then drag it back to the same folder you got it from. Save a copy on your desktop if it is a critical file.

Update the Moon fix first
Update the Moon icon set
Install whomever's version of Themes you like....(I think I have em all)

You may know all of this already, but thought I would pass it along if not.
