Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
anyone using this..? hows it compare to opera and skyfire?

Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
idk how new this revision is but i never understood Netfront's philosophy. Instead of going the intuitive route like opera mobile or iphone safari which bring you to the full page view and you click to zoom where you want to read, NetFront seems to want to start zoomed in and click to zoom out. Seems like a lot more steps to view a page and find what you want- kind of counter intuitive. Main reason why i wont use it, besides the facts its been in beta/technical preview for years now.

Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
i love it. especially i like that i dont need to use stylus for scrolling, because it supports hardware buttons for scrolling (thats only thing i dont like in opera).

Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
I tried it a couple weeks back, and get the "out of memory" errors (still) :(

Any one else trying this.

Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
I think it renders pages faster then Opera 9.5, but I just don't like the way the interface works and the zoom function.

Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
isn't this months old? i saw a vid on it and i think opera and skyfire (for flash) will suffice as far as my needs go
netfront expires in 09, so i'm still waiting for firefox* |
Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
When you say Firefox, do you mean Minimo?

here's the firefox clip: http://www.vimeo.com/1152218?pg=embed&sec=1152218
if they actually make it like this, it will destroy the other browsers out there.. and i'd imagine that they'd work flash into it |
Re: NetFront™ Browser v3.5 *new version*
Firefox mobile info:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile on the release road map they are saying expect a beta in late 2008 (we are here already) and the final in 2009. |

There is a goal for it to come out in beta, not an expectation. With many software projects, release date goals often get moved. It's still in alpha for desktop use only for the WinMo version at this time. |
