Alarm Sounds / MP3?
Ok is there ANY way to use .mp3's as an alarm or for "reminders?"
thanks |
i would like to know that too
|
or for alarm clock sounds....?
|
Yes...put your mp3 into Windows/Rings and it will be available for reminders. I'm using the doorbell from the Jetsons for my reminders sound.
Systems wise you're limited to customizing the tones for the events listed in Sounds & Notifications. Third party apps (e.g., alarm clocks, etc.) may provide the option to use your system sound in place of their default sounds. Hope this helps and anyone feel free to add or correct me. late, Coz |
cozboogie...thanx for the reply.
I did that and I cannot see the files when I try to use them for my alarm clock sounds or my ringer/text message notification...is there another folder for those...??? |
Go to Settings/Sounds & Notifications and go into the Manage tab. Select your mp3, tap on menu, and select add. Then you should be able to go back to the Notifications tab and select your tone.
Let me know if you run into any problems. late, Coz |
Coz...I don't see a Manage Tab. I'm using WM6...am I missing something...?
|
Hmmm...yeah I'm using wm5 so I'm not sure what the differences might be.
Sorry. late, Coz |
from blogs i've read this is a cool app
enAlarmPPC lets you do mp3 as alarm & more i believe its a trial or something but if you have the know how or the money it should be what your looking for. |
erm...
What I did was... FOR ALARM CLOCK: 1. Convert the mp3 to wav 2. put in storage 3. use File Explorer to copy the file from storage to \Windows\ 4. you will be able to see it in the setting for alarm clock ring tones FOR MESSAGE: 1. Copy the mp3 (do not need to convert) from whichever location to \Application Data\Sound\ 2. In the setting for the message tone... just pull down the menu and you should be able to see that I am using WM6 |
