hey,

is anyone using this program actively on the Touch Pro, MOgul , or Rant?

I've been notcing lately that my sons are using profanity when sending texts back and forth to one another and even some little girls they text on the phone. I want to catch them in the act. They are 12, 11 & 10. I already threatened to take the phones, but I would like to catch them in the act.

<p>lol...I just went through this with my 13 and 11 year old. The only thing I could really do besides taking the phones was stop text to/from on the phones. I made my boys read their text outloud to the wifey and me. They didnt know what to do with themselves. Boys will be boys but you have to put the hammer down at times if you know what I mean.</p>

Can't use it in PPC!
But if you have Nokia or SE, you can try try this app "ftp-bt"!

I installed to my own Titan, (used JBED Java emulator), but can't ran, couse security didn't allow me to use bluetooth!
Thats why, u can ran from Nokia Smartphones!
But you must know one thing!
Bluetooth must be on "allways"!
By the way, u must add your device to white list!

ahh. Makes sense. So there is no application that will work on a PPC that will allow me to check there phones at all? You figure with all the PPC and smartphones out there that they would have alot of applications that would do this

install dashwire on it, then you can look at them all over the internet and you dont need bluetooth on...

hahahahaha here is what to do. i am 13. so listen. while they are texting give them half an hour then say gimme ur phone DO NO LET THEM PRESS BUTTONS THEY WILL CLEAR THE TEXTS. boom u caught em. i never get caught ;)

Just buy cheap Nokia phone, i think 6230i can do the job, And SonyEricson is more cheaper and working with this app very impressive!
You can use Nokia or SE with "bluetooth and MIDP 2.0"!

U can use Dashwire, but how u gonna up-date dates from their phones?

U must up-date date every time to see new messages, call logs...!
I think, u better hold their phone on your phone, then using Dashwire ;)

wow yall would hate to have me as kid I am 16 and only been that for a couple months. but i know when i was 13 yall would have been pissed at my texts me and my friends openly cussed hell one of my chick friends was my buck fuddy and for those who dont know what tht is just replace the first letters in each word. we did lots more than that and thats in a private christain school. I know how I personally would handle what you are trying to do. I would rebel. I fly the Rebel flag everyday i also have a 6ft. Rebel flag that stays above my bed all day and all night. thats just me persoanlly but with as much testosterone that pumps through me and as much as me and my dad disagree sometimes it can get real heated real quick. I know persoanlly i have a bit more of a temper than most people but that is just a by product of my weekly schedule. just understand we want our freedom and can be trusted if you did do a good job up to this point. im not sure what your beliefs are but trust me the more you try to smother them the more they will hate that is the honest to gods truth.

I am not saying that is how your kids will react but that is how i personally would react.

Sorry for the rant but I had that kinda stuff threatened on me and i shut that stuff down. I have a major league problem with that stuff. it also doesnt help that I am sick and was almost hospitalized im not outta the wood work yet. but that is generally what us as teens think. they may not rebel as openly as I but we do hate that kinda stuff and will grow up to resent that stuff.

Understandable. But at this point I dont like to assume anything. There is too much stuff out for kids to get into, but in light of that, I'm not raising foul mouth little R#_)*#_@#. I caught my 6 yr old telling her brothers "Hell No" friday night. I could have killed her. I rebeled as well, but my dad didnt play that $h!t either. So I think I'm doing the right thing.

It really cray that there are no pograms out there for smartphones that will do this. that is just crazy

You would have gotten laughed at in my house with that nonsense. My folks would've told you to rebel all you want, just make sure you do it with your own food, money, clothes, shoes, transportation and everything else. I can pretty much assure you that rebelling wouldnt have lasted long.

This is fully working program!
I tested on my old phones (Nokia 3250, N80)
Worked fine on my friend's SE W800 as well!

U may try to install other JAVA Emulator for your PPC!
I couldn't run with JBED! :(

Haven't really seen anything that can do what you're looking for, but it's been talked about by a lot of people looking to catch their wives/husbands cheating lol.. so maybe you can find something in a search (i'd imagine that the kid with the mogul could be caught the easiest).
BTW, most teen boys are going to cuss behind your back whether you like it or not, that's just how it is.. My friends and I cursed our brains out, online, throughout high school and we turned out great.
As long as you taught them what's acceptable in your house and with the general public, and it sounds like you've probably done that, then they'll be alright.. Just remember, if you're having trouble catching them, then that means they know when it's ok to cuss (amongst friends) and when it's not (work, around adults/teachers, strangers) - even though you may think it's never okay to do so. The most you can do is remind them from time to time what's acceptable and how they should speak around girls...
If you get caught spying, they'll end up taking extra measures to make sure they won't get caught whenever they do something "bad" again.
But hey, if you're worried about what they're getting into.. then that's a different story. I know you're just looking for info on how to spy, but I just had to drop a few more lines about the situation....

well what youre trying to do via bluetooth is possible. i think its called bluesnarfing. also to do this, you have to have the jrs 82 capability on your phone which alllows you to do what you want over bluetooth. i know theres a few sprint phones that have this capability, such as the fusic, musiq and the razr..

If you want to read their incoming messages totally undetected, you could just take any extra phone, or even your own phone temporarily, and program it with their MDN, then all incoming messages will got to their phone, and your phone, they will have no idea.

As far as outgoing text, I say install the older dashwire program (the old one never pops up on its own) and rename the exe so it doesnt show in task manager. But ofcourse dashwire would only work on the mogul.

Honestly I think its as simple as this. kids that age don't need a cellphone. I know hibby doesn't want to hear that, but its more a maturity thing than an actual age(meaning I am not saying you shouldn't have your phone hibby). Honestly, I was that age not to terribly long ago. (I am 23 now) I had a cellphone around that age(13 I believe was when I got my first phone) only because my mother worked for big V and it was a great tool to keep in contact with the family. I was responsible with the phone, never went over my minutes or texts. If you don't feel you can trust them with a phone without you watching over your back then simply take the phones away until you can trust them.

If my mother tried to monitor all my texts and what not then I would have just found a different way to communicate with my friends... like actually seeing them and doing something. At that point kids will swear and do stupid things especially boys beating the crap out of eachother. It's all a learning experience if all they learn is to not do bad things because of fear, then just try to imagine what happens when the fear goes away.

Teach them to act rightly because it is right and not because they will get in trouble.

For me, the phone thing was out of necessity. I am in no way implying that the maturity wasn't there, because it damn well was. I got my phone when I was 11. It was an LG flip phone. My mother had classes always, my dad worked, so I needed to be in constant contact. I never went over my minutes or texting either. We never had any issues.

Another thing that bothers me is kids treating their phones like crap, and then crying to get a new one. I'm 16 now, and I treat my TP like a baby. You have to learn how to NOT abuse your privileges, and take care of what you have.

I have to agree, if you cannot trust the kids with the phone, they shouldn't have it. Taking it away from them until they learn to respect your rules would be a wakeup call.

But then again, who am I to give advice on parenting? There are probably some more detailed reasons as to why this isn't feasible.

they now have a phone spy thing at xda that will give you any info you want just by sending certain texts to the phone and does it all while being unknown to the user just install the program and send the texts whenever you feel like it and you can catch them if they are doing any wrong. It has to be installed on a smartphone though.

This is what comes from sparing the rod.

There're quite a few apps available including the one from XDA that can help locate lost or stolen phones, and most will let you execute remote commands via SMS, including dumping text and call logs. I used to use Sprite Terminator, haven't installed one on my TP2 yet, I'll prolly try the XDA app next. YMMV.
