Using Sprint Music Store songs on a different device?
I've been searching but can't find anything on this. I'm sure someone else has come across it, but I need some help.
I have never used the sprint music store, don't need to, don't want to... but a few of my friends at work keep bringing me their new touch pros with the same issue. They have been using the Sprint Music Store on other phones and recently upgraded to the TP? I'm not familiar with the app and all of my searches only turn up information on the actual installation files, nothing specifically about the music files. Can those downloaded and purchased music files be played on a different phone or are they locked to the original device? |
Re: Using Sprint Music Store songs on a different device?
If purchasing songs directly from music store, they are given the option to get a free PC download copy of the same song. So they just need to go to sprint's music store site, and download it from there. Not sure what the DRM is on these files so not sure if there will be restrictions, but this is how we are told to help customers who need to swap out their old devices, and want the music on the new one.

Re: Using Sprint Music Store songs on a different device?
Well, we apparently stopped offering the concurrent PC download on October 15th of this year, so that's not an option at this point. Thanks for the suggestion...
I tried downloading a free song to my phone with the music store and then copied it over to my desktop PC to listen to it... no dice, it's DRM laden. Garbage. |
