Offline Maps w/ GPS

I'm in the market for a standalone (no-data) map program with GPS support. I downloaded Pocket Streets 2001 but it wasn't very intuitive. I suppose there must be a program out like this.

I found a Java-based program called TrekBuddy which allows you to convert Google Maps maps to it's format, but I cannot figure out how to run Java programs.

Any help is appreciated!

PS If it helps, I have the GPS under control via Bluetooth. It works nice with Google Maps. :)

My favorite Standalone is TomTom7, Although iGO 8 looks better I still prefer tomtom7, it's nice, simple, and gets the job done well.

To run java you would need to install something like JBED and then load the .jar into that program
