Battery meter that gives an estimated time left
 

Is there any software that will tell you an estimated time till your battery is dead kinda like how windows does on a laptop?

You mean how Windows lies to you on your laptop? LOL.

I have not seen an app that does what you asked for, though that is not to say that it does not exist.

arielbattery does give an estimate but i'm not sure how good the estimate is

Try the Uptime Meter plugin from this site. Lots of other good apps as well:

phonealarm does, but it requires you enter the stock call/standby battery life expectancy first, which is quoted at 3.8 hours talk (225 minutes) and unknown standby.
