"Favorites" menu on Today screen

I have a Diamond with TouchFlo disabled.

I'm looking for some sort of Today plugin that can replicate at least some of the functionality I had on the "Favorites" menu on my Katana and Instinct.

On this menu, I was able to add a button that would create a text message to a certain person with one click. I text message with the same 2 people a lot, and it's annoying to have to go into messaging, then text messaging, then select the conversation to create a new message. I'd love to just be able to hit one key from the Today screen and go right into the conversation.

It would also be nice to be able to add an Opera favorite, or a Sprint TV channel, to this.

Does anyone know of any programs that will do this?

Yes, thanks to TMZ for finding it and testing in Diamond, Elecont's launcher will do what you want. You just need to creat a shortcut to each app, folder, file, etc. Then, for each favorite, put an icon button on Today Screen to launch its shortcut, or directly launch the app. Trial version is free up to 3 days, cost is reasonable, like $7, here:

BTW freeware tdLaunch works well for my QVGA Sprint Touch, but apparently not so good with VGA Diamond.

Hope this helps, MrG

I appreciate the link, but neither of those applications seem to allow me to put a "text message xxx" type button, which is what i really want.

google quickmenu. it does the favorites on the start menu among other things. not quite what you asked for, but it does put the faves one click away from wherever you are via start menu. i reorder the items so favorites are the first thing on the list. sorry, i can't help with texting.

Either will, IF you can figure out how to create a shortcut LNK file pointing to the discussion you want quick access to.
