Problem with active sync.
 

So all of a sudden activesync cannot pick up my device. The last time i was able to do a sucessful sync was on the 8/2/06. Any ways I connect the ppc to the comp it recognizes it, says its connecting....then stops. Sometimes it will stay in the connecting status until the troubleshoot appears. I thought it was activesync so i upgraded and the same results.

Any suggestions on what i can do?

delete the device on the activesyn profile, and add it again as u hook it on the craddle


make sure u have everything backed up before takin thsi step thogh.

if u try bunny method and it doesn't work, try killing all the processes that start with wce with the usb unplugged and then try and sync again.

do you do this on the device itself or activesync? I deleted the device from activesync and couldnt add it back..that field turned light grey instead of bold.

Also when i connect the device to the ppc, the pc reacts however ppc doesnt make a sound. I thought it was the usb but i tried two diff cables and different ports but still no go. could a program on my ppc be interfering with it?

Wideawake tried ur method..no go also.

yeah, you should be able to add it , just take a look at ur manual real quick

yea the ppc doesnt make any sounds when u plug it up, only the pc will...if u deleted the profile either on ur ppc or pc, you should still be able to add it back, this is after you get activsync back working, cuz it will pop up and give you a set up screen.
