Bluetooth Icon Indicator
anyone know a way to get the bluetooth icon (when on) up on the top of the screen (ie, next to start). when you clock on "EV" and connectivity bubble pops up there is a bluetooth icon...id love that up next to EV or the signal strength...any idea? ive tried the ones at the bottom of the screen but removed all them get some extra screen space. thanks in advance

ummm if ur talking about on a xv6700 or any of those type, i know the blue indicator light starts flashing. other than that, idk of any other way to show an indicator.
|
yea i hate that blue indicator. it blinks once every 5 seconds...kinda annoying to use it. maybe if it was blinking every second??? I noticed that once i was going to pair my headset and i set my headset to pair and a bluetooth icon came on up next to the Ev icon and said something wants to pair...so there is a bluetooth icon sometimes. oh well...keep looking

I agree
I use BT all the time- and constantly have to go through the comm setting or toggle the BT app to get an indication-
If there is a tray app to indicate the BT is "ON", that would be nice. Please post if you have any ideas |
yo
there is a bt tray app here on ppcgeeks. I know you want it at the top but at the bottom aint so bad ninja!! search for bt icon and bt toggle. you can also assign a hard key to toggle it on and off!!

Try this...it will put it in your bottom system tray:

yea i think there are a couple of these, thanks, havent seen this one and it looks perfect! i took all the icons off the bottom of the screen to get more space though...decisions decision.

Coz....I want to install this (or something like it) on my 700wx. It told me that it was not designed for that OS....do I want to comtinue? Do you know if it will work on my wx, or should I keep looking?
Thanks ahead of time, you are defiantly one of the most informative people in these forums, you have helped me out a lot!! |
I think what the OP is referring to is on smartphones and regular cell phones, when your headset is actually paired up, it puts a bluetooth icon at the top of the screen.. when your device is unpaired, the icon is not there, regardless of whether the bluetooth is enabled and on..
I do would definately like a bluetooth icon at the top of my screen letting me know if my headset is paired or not.. |

Works on my 700wx. Just do a soft reset after installing and you're good to go. late, Coz |
