Re: changing file associations
you still haven't gotten that taken care of.? anyway I ran into the area that will help you last night as happens.
In GSFinder+ , view>options, tab to the right, and there's a tab for File Types. just click on the extensions you want to change and click edit. most I looked at were just \windows\wmplayer.exe with parameter= "%1" (including quotes)

Re: changing file associations
Well, either Kinoma won't release control or I am doing something wrong (either one is a distinct possibility).
I only played with this for a short time, but I could select jpeg/mp3 etc. file & it asks what program should be used to open it (just like any version of Windows) & there is a check box to tell it to always use that program, but I can't get it to work. When I select the program, nothing happens. Is there any kind of a reg edit that will force a different file association?? ~John |
