Ok so I have long been looking for something like this. Every get misspelled words stuck in ur auto complete dictionary? Or just wanna clear it? Well this little app is for u! Download the .zip and u will find a .cab inside. Install and u now have a dictionary editor. Just load the main dictionary and u can edit one word, or completely wipe all word from the built in dictionary. Developers site

cool!!! i can now auto complete spanish words!
Is this for English and Spanish?
you should be able to put words on there :D
no its in english, u can just add the weight of words, and add words to the auto complete function in the new rom. u can also delete the it to make it have no words but common ones like after a hard reset.

wow thanks much, thats exactly what I need. :-)
Ohhh nice!!! Gracias!!! :D
I didn't know we had other Spanish-speaking users here :) |
What does this dictionary do verses the one that already comes with Treo 700WX?
With this tool you can edit your dictionary. Erase mispelled words tht are stuck on it, add new words, etc.
anyone know how to get the edited list saved? nothing will work for me to get it saved. even deleted main. just keeps reloading the same old list as main.
Anyone have issues with this app? I edit the dictionary but the changes don't stick. Any ideas?
after u edit are u going to file/save as main? If u don't save it, it won't stick ;)
I did. I load main, then delete some of the mistakes I've made. Then go to file/save main.
If I open the app again, or go to type something I still see the entries I deleted... even after a soft reset. |
My problem with the app is that it rarely shows the built in dictionary. Usually it only shows the words that I have saved and recent words that the PPC remembers for the default amount of time. Also, I have never had it show me the "weight" of the words.
Actually, now that I am playing with it, it is not saving any words I enter. |
You guys may want to Try This One!
I've used earlier versions of this, and it worked well! This one has also been updated again, just yesterday! http://mobile-sg.com/software/ppc/DictEditor/SS_b71.png |
wow talk about right on tome. I was going to try the program again in the first post even though it did not work for me. Upon first glance the prog seems much more depth to it, lets see if it works.
