Yrgo - The new gadget (move things around) shell!!
 

Hey, I stumbled across this a few days back - and thought you guys would like it...
Basically it's got a today screen with gadgets, and you can add/edit/delete gadgets, and move everything about etc. The new beta (which the admin has given me, cant re-distribute) has skinning support.

I was just trying this out about a half hour ago, got it from your site earlier today. So far it seems decent, I really like the way you configure the Today screen with the gadgets. I didn't like that it didn't completely take over the screen like PointUI. A solid effort that needs little more polish. The price is nice too.

I love the concept. It's not as finger friendly as I'd like. It seems to prefer that you use the slider on the right side when scrolling through various screens. I'll have to play with it a little more to find out if it's possible to have the contacts button open up icontacts and other similar issues.

Thinks for the find. It seems like we've been in a rut for a while for new programs.

I actually think the opposite, we have had quite a few new programs:

nice program, But it seems to do the same things you can do with pocket plus. the desktop feature at least.

Now if we can get skinning support and figure out how to customize icons, etc this could have some real potential.

Brenn, since you know the creator, is he/or she interested in feedback or feature requests? With a little polishing this could compete with spb mobile shell quite nicely.

Hey you all, hes got a beta version out now at his forums that allows you to customize the backgroundsm, icons, etc. Cool stuff.

Does this application replace the Today Screen with its four desktops or can you run it in addition to your current Today Screen?

It replaces it, but you can also add today plugins within it. And yeah the beta has skining support

Its runs in addition to it. You can minimize the program without closing it similar to mobile shell.

Thanks for the reply and information. I like my current Today Screen set-up and I want to keep it. Based on your input I'll download Yrgo and give it a try!

Beta 3 is now availible at the authors website and has a full screen mode now.
