I was a beta tester for this app, and eventhough I am not sure if I will keep it, it is pretty cool!!! It collects a few online utilities into one 'shell' package. It runs similar to MobileShell, and has categories for online games (pretty cool), TV, radio, RSS, weather, and a store section as well!!!

It looks like if you fill out the survey you will get a 'trial' version, I don't quite know how they will work that, but I will post in the forum and see if I can get an answer!!

Right now TV (like radio) has a set list of channels to pick from. There has been a big debate almost since day one about how channels will be offered, and honestly....I don't think they have totally decided yet. The interface is great, and runs pretty smooth on most devices that reported back!!!

Personally, I feel they may have jumped the gun a bit on release, I don't think it is totally ready yet, but what does work, works great!!!!

I don't really care as I use a Slingbox Pro & get all my cable channels (including HBO on Demand) for free, but I was wondering if this is a good Slingbox alternative......

From all I have heard of Slingbox, I would say no. Personally I am not sure I will use this app myself, the layout is nice, and the online store is easy to use, but almost everything else is already installed on my device (that I use at least). This is a great app for the new user, or someone who wants to keep everything in one place, and off the Today screen.

I would use Slingbox myself if it weren't for the cost!!!!

Is it just me...or does the weather portion actually display the "CURRENT" temperatures and not just the high/low? Geez its about time. This is the only reason i don't us mobile shell.

Yes, it does do current. The forecast is pretty cool as well, the only problem, is you can't have it as a plug-in, or use it with other apps you may associate weather with (S2U2). It is another mini-type weather app (and kinda lengthy to get to if you just want a quick weather update), but I think the layout blows Shell, or even the full-blown SPB Weather out of the H2O (do I smell an SPB Weather 2 soon? LOL)!!!
