if I remember right, the apache was the last one to come with a full version of outlook. now they just come with a 2 month trial.
I stopped using m$office in the spring, and now just use gmail.
you could try thunderbird, but I didn't like it very well, and now just use the web interface.

I use Outlook for the calendar and contacts. Does gmail sync with Gmail?

umm, of course gmail syncs with gmail. lol... I use imap in pocket outlook

I'm using dashwire for contacts.
I'm still looking for a good calendar, but hopefully dashwire will include that soon. one of my big beef's with calenders is that most don't even have national holidays in them... like I didn't even know it was labor day until I got up this morning...
