WMWiFiRouter 1.2 Beta - Treo 800W support

Just posting a message I got from WMWiFiRouter today:

WMWifiRouter has been nominated for the 2008 Best Software Awards by Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine in two categories:

- Internet -- Connection Sharing
- Communication -- Phone Tools and Synchronization

We are honored by these nominations and look forward to the announcement of the winners in October!

For more information about these awards, see http://www.smartphonemag.com/awards .

[ WMWifiRouter 1.20 Semi-Public BETA released ]

Some of you have been waiting for this for quite a while, and now, here it is: the WMWifiRouter 1.20 BETA !

WMWifiRouter 1.20 has been completely rebuilt from the gound up, to increase stability and compatibility, as well as laying the groundwork for our upcoming features. All our registered users can now sneak a peak at it, as promised!

Though it isn't completely finished yet, and there will undoubtedly be issues, we feel it already provides a much better user experience than the old version does. And of course we will continue development during this beta period, as well as after the first real public release!

The WMWifiRouter 1.20 BETA will NOT be available through the registered users download page (though of course, the final public release will be), but only through our forums. This is for two reasons. First, to prevent confusion for the less tech-savvy users who are not up to speed on beta releases. Second, we hope using the forum for this will increase the amount of (constructive) feedback and decrease the amount of duplicate questions.

Those who wish to take part in the WMWifiRouter 1.20 semi-public beta should register at our forums:

http://forum.wmwifirouter.com/

Once your sign-up is complete (this should only take a couple of minutes, including the verification e-mail), you will be able to view the sign-up thread:

http://forum.wmwifirouter.com/showthread.php?t=13

You WILL need a valid license key to sign up!

If you are a registered user, but do not know your license key, you can look it up at:

http://my.wmwifirouter.com/

Use your e-mail address and password you provided when purchasing WMWifiRouter to log in.

Alternatively, start the version of WMWifiRouter you currently have installed on your device, and go to Options -> About, where it is also listed.

All in all, from going to the forum for the first time, to actually running the beta on your device, should take no more than 10 minutes.

Because we've had a lot of support requests about this, one last thing:

Yes, according to our testers, this beta is compatible with the Treo800w!

Thanks for the tip! NDA prevents me from saying anything about it but I'm glad to see it.

Yes. My friend connected to my WMWiFiRouter network using his iPhone. I've had multiple laptops connect to my network simultaneously as well.

Actually, no, its not possible to connect the PSP to it. I have one and it doesn't work. It has the latest firmware and I've tried every setup configuration available in WMWifiRouter. Phil, make sure you actually know what you're talking about before you post. The PSP is a completely different device than the iPhone.

Yes, sir. I apologize for my error. In the future I will take care to run all of my comments by your majesty to ensure their accuracy. You are indeed the man, Dan. Again, apologies for being incorrect.

i went to the link and I signed up but how do I get to the cab so I download this to my phone. I had a previous but today it recently said that the trial ended and that I needed a license key to continue. I see everything that was in the first post but my question, again, how do I go further to download this and can someone walk me through the process of obtaining the license key. I really need this badly so can someone please help me out with this. Thanks in advance!

No need to run 'em by me. Just do a little research first.

The only way to obtain a license key is to purchase the software.
