WM6.1 How to delete files from windows folder?
 

This is probably 1st time I am posting a question here.
I tried searching few thing here but couldn't able to get anything specific.:scratch:

1. I wants to delete some large files from windows folder but it's not allowing me. I want to delete those large junk files like audiableair, sprint navigator etc.
2. I think WM5 was allowing to change the setting for call history, Is anyway I can change the setting to say 60 days or longer?

Resco explorer lets you do that.

Is it possible to do from the Activesync/PC side ? I delete files on my WMphone from my PC all the time...

I tried all possible ways. tried delete from computer, used Resco. It says ROM file can not be deleted. There are few Sprint junk files like audiableair really taking sapce (about 5MB) would help to save space.

Do do not believe that you can delete any files from the Windows folder that are part of the hard set ROM. That would be the area of ROM where the data from a cooked ROM would go. The only way to remove any items from this area would be to do it before it was loaded into the protected area of the main ROM. If I'm wrong someone please speak up. I hope I helped. I know it is not what you were wanting to here. You might try loading up BuildOS are your PC and cooking your own ROM. It is fun and really makes your unit your own!!
