Real Streaming Vide...
 

Hi, I've searched everywere but cant find an answer. Is it there any software that will alow me to stream wmv, mpg, avi, etc... directly out of a web browser? Like I go to the page, click the link, the program launches and just plays... I've looked at tcmp, htc streaming app, windows media mobile, vtap, youtube player... I'm using Opera 9.5 as my browser, but will be happy to try anything that works, even if I have to go back to pocket IE.

Yhea looks cool, signed up for the beta a few weeks ago but havent heard anything, plus the whole monitoring part of it freaks me out. I guess there are no other current alternatives?

I thought everything was loaded on their end, then formated for the phone. Thats how they get the fast speeds, I guess maybe they dont "monitor" you altogether, but everything you do goes thru them? I'm sure its not as serious as I make it out to be, but this is right off their site. "When you use the Browser, Skyfire has access to, and in many cases will monitor, your Browser Usage. " Found that snipped under the "Privacy & Security" link.

Yes, Skyfire is a server based browser....but really, it's no worse then running a search on Google, because pretty much everywhere you go on the net is tracked by someone. You should check out Skyfire though.
