Thanks.

I replaced the default one with this. Very nice. By the way, mine was in the Windows folder.

Hopefully the official version will be out by the time the Raphael is out, cuz my poor Mogul can't handle this.

That sucks. You would think that Opera would do something about not being able to enter in a simple URL with the default keyboard. I want to use this version, but having to change keyboards everytime is a pain.

I have the diamond keyboard installed, and it only seems to work properly when using the Diamond QWERTY one. I prefer that keyboard for web browsing purposes anyhow, so it doesn't really bother me.

I have read nothing but problems with the Diamond QWERTY keyboard though. Users having this issue and that...not being able to uninstall it, etc.

I'm pretty used to the Touch default keyboard and would hate to have to install something that could cause problems, just to enter in a URL easier in a program like Opera. Not sure what to do here.

I just switch back an forth as i dont use opera that much. perhaps try another keyboard other than the diamond one. spb has that full screen one. i found that pretty nice, but its more of a two handed thing because its in landscape. also it costs, unless you know where to look. i believe pcm also has a keyboard, and there's touchpal as well.

Is there any way to prevent this from becoming the default browser for everything?

I've attached a .cab made for me that sets PIE back as the default browser. It just has all the registry settings that Opera changes when it's installed.

Thank you for trying, but Opera apparently changes plenty more settings that are more difficult to find. After installing your cab, and even after changing a few more Opera-favoring settings by hand, I still have the same basic problem: When I click on an http address in an email, it brings up Opera!

Besides, Opera also goofs up the keyboard settings somehow. Opera's installation causes other programs to bring up the software keyboard on every text input, which is absurd on a Mogul because we have a hardware keyboard.

All in all, this version of Opera is viruslike. Luckily, it should be fully uninstallable.
