Vringo Facebook Contact App

Hey folks, I know I havent been around much, i moved to a curve, but I thought I would come and share this slick software for us facebook junkies.
This app syncs your phone with your facebook friends, so that when any of your facebook friends call, their profile pic shows up for their caller ID pic!! Best of all its free. I did a search here for Vringo, and didnt find anything so...

get it here:

Vringo

Wow, that is a sweet app!

Took less than 5 minutes to get it all setup and now all my facebook friends have their pictures stored in my contact list on my phone. Would have taken hours to do by hand.

I love it!!!

when i sync with outlook, it hangs on the contacts part. im sure it has to do with the pictures...

edit: never mind, it just took a while. close to 5 min for ~60 contacts, alls well now.

I am glad that you are happy with your new device, but I am really disappointed in the way you left us.

I would like to see you make a post in the off topic forum regarding your thoughts on the curve vs. the touch and if you may think of coming back to winmo for a touch pro or diamond.

Thanks for the app.

Hey, I've been using vringo for a month or two, to sync contacts to my PPC...

But to sync with Outlook, there are a number of desktop applications available via Facebook Applications. I've tried out a bunch of them, and the one I've found works best (i.e. isn't intrusive, doesn't slow Outlook--because we all know how slowly Outlook runs as it is, and it doesn't have any conflicts/issues/bugs with Vringo) is fonebook.

Sorry, i know that's a bit of a tangent.. I do love Vringo, and the developer is awesome! Totally responsive to suggestions/comments/questions.

Does this sync contacts to your phone or just the pics when you match them up? I'm a little confused.

does this interfere with S2U2? I like to use it's callerID function, but this says it has a callerID ability, and I don't want that. does it interfere, is there a way to disable CID on vringo or any of that?

I signed up, but I've only 1 friend on facebook right now. I believe the callerID ability they speak of refers to the fact it places the picture according to pOutlook database structure, and therefore should work with any app.
correct me if I'm wrong anyone...
