Okay popdog....My wife seen my S2U2 theme you made and she has been going crazy!! She wants me to ask you if you would be so kind as to do a hello kitty one for her? I know I know.....I told her this is a Mans site and she needs to find her some cool girly geeker friends, but she just wont leave me alone about this. So I thought Id at least ask so next time she mentions it I can say I did ask for her.

when using version 2.21..how to get a .gif wallpaper to show??? TIA
cant find the .gif option to device memory in settings

There's no separate gif option. In Settings choose Wallpaper, then File/Directory(Portrait). From there just choose the .gif file you want to use as your wallpaper. Once you do this the gif options will be highlighted in the Wallpaper settings.

yea..did that...jus a black screen with ur top and bottom curtain..same result after soft reset too...idk.

Ok, then that's a memory issue. If you look a few posts back you'll see there was/is an issue with animated gifs over 1gb or with a lot of frames. AC added an option to cache gif frames by device memory. I forgot what version he added that to. Is it in V.2.21? It should be under Wallpaper settings. It helps somewhat, but I still have trouble with some gifs. The windows animated wallpaper I just did was originally twice as many frames, but I had to cut it down so it would run on the TP2. The original had more changing colors and also looked smoother.

Anyway, bottom line, you need to upgrade S2U2 if you don't have the cache setting in your version and/or you'll have to use a smaller animated gif wallpaper.

A-C's fix works fairly well, but because different devices have different processors and RAM amounts it's not perfect.
