What application do you recommend for Google Messenger (aka google talk) with the HTC Mogul? Thanks for your time...

Palringo is the best and most stable for pda's it seems, and it allows you much more flexibility. There are other free ones out there that work but not to the degree palringo does. The only issue with Palringo is that it doesn't seem to be able to update on its own like the desktop one does. The nice thing is you can go download the latest .cab and because your settings are online you don't have to redo all your settings.

what i don't like about it is when you log off or accidentally close the screen it erases the messages.

if it logs you off and that screen is up, it shouldn't. check your chats screen to see if the individual chat is still up. as for closing the screen, most programs will do that. there is a free one that logs if you want it to, but it doesn't allow you the multiple-screennames per IM that palringo does.

Palringo does not erase your messages when you log off. Simply re-open the chat window. At the top of the chat window you will see a small arrow. Just tap on that and it will scroll your previous converstations.
