Touch Diamond Kb skin
 

For those of you who are using the new diamond keyboard.

I am working on skinning the keyboards. I have completed 10 skins for the full kb. and am working on the other 2 key pads. The way Htc set these kb's up is kinda lame. The full kb and symbol keyboards are just a blank skin and the kb program its self overlays the letters. Being the letters are gray and black it kinda limits what skins can be applied. The other 2 keyboards have the letters and numbers right on the kb skin so I can make those 2 any color.

My plan is to create separate packages for each kb. That way users can mix and match them. I am only skinning the English version, and don't plan on skinning the landscape ones unless there is a real demand for it.

This Is just the blue flame skin and is just a test. Please download it, unzip and place the image files into the diamonds default directory "mine was the root directory of windows". You will need to overwrite. Please let me know if there are any issues. Or if anything needs to be fixed. T.Y

This is an image of the rough ideas I had. The packages will look different and more refined.


I found out you can change what symbols are on the symbol selection screen by editing the sympad0409 file in notepad. the first 50 or so are the symbols Unicode value. the last are the smiles. They are listed in order they are displayed on the keyboard. to erase ones you don't use just look up its Unicode and delete. If you want to put an entry like www. or .com you need to have a \ in front of whatever you want. ie. \www. I have not tried anything past 4 characters. This edit does not change the symbols in the full kb. Just the other 2.

Of all the samples you got there, I like the white one with some colors mixed in the best....the second one in the top row. It has most of the glass effect.

It would be awesome if you can get a black glass version for the other 20 key keyboard together, because that will look sweet for sure!

I said it like a million times, and I'll say it again...great work man!

Glad you like them. Black wont be possible on the full kb until somebody hacks it and forces the program to display white letters. Ishould have all the full kb skins released tonight.

Oh yeah...I know about the keyboard issue for qwerty version. But on the 20 key keyboard, it would be awesome!

Looking forward to testing it out once you release them!

Sweet deal man... I went with the Pastel Rainbow version. I like the one that's under it better, but it's harder to read the secondary symbols on it :(

Can't wait to get the matching 20 key version, since that's still the keyboard I use the most for texting.
