WM6 Text Threading
I am going to post a question about the WM6 text threading app. I first searched the boards and couldn't find an answer so now I am posting. If there is an answer and I missed it, please refrain from crucifying me for being redundant.
I have a Mogul with WM6. I know there is an option to disable auto-capitalization in the standard text app. Is there a similar option for the threading app? Thanks. |
Re: WM6 Text Threading

Re: WM6 Text Threading
krylon80 isn't looking to disable threaded SMS, only the "auto-capitalization of first letter" option. I'd like to use this option as well.

Re: WM6 Text Threading
i am too annoyed by the auto-cap "feature" that can't be disabled. there is an option to disable but for some reason stupid windows keeps capitalizing the first letter after every punctuation.
i never found a way around this, lord knows i tried.. if you search around you'll see many others with the same question, but as of date there is no way to stop it from capitalizing. |
Re: WM6 Text Threading
you need bring up the on screen keyboard, then click on the arrow to bring up the input selector (to switch between keyboard, transcriber, etc). You should now see an Options, click on it. In those options there's an options tab. On that tab there's "Capitalize first letter of sentence" that you can uncheck.

Re: WM6 Text Threading
as sebo noted, that option does not work for the threading app.
that is an option built into WM6 for the standard text app, for which it does work. but selecting or deselecting this option has no effect on the 3rd party threading app. what I (and apparently many others) are looking for is a way to disable/enable auto-caps in the threading app. please don't bother posting unless you have a solution (posting, "yeah, yeah, me too!" is a waste of time). thanks. |
