Re: AppToDate
oh wow... post #11 in that thread would totally remove the need for backups and re-installs after flash.... the future is coming...

Re: AppToDate
Had high hopes, but I tried it and got caught in an endless install loop of AppToDate itself as someone else mentioned in another thread there. It just keeps wanting to install the latest version of AppToDate over and over again. Nothing I can do really.
It also doesn't see installs of certain products it says it supports like SKTools. |
Re: AppToDate
No2Chem's nueUpdate does this too. Downloads an appropriately named (titaimg, etc) nbh to your storage card, and then launches into the bootloader. I've never actually used it since the available ROM's are all old, but I'm assuming it would work the same way.

Re: AppToDate
This just showed up mysteriously on my list of programs. I didnt dl it unless it was trojaned in w/net config or net 3.5 i just got. What does it do?
|
Re: AppToDate
For developers who chose to incorporate it, it's just a means for users to stay on top of the latest version of their software. It's actually great, I wish everyone would incorporate app-to-date support in their programs.

Re: AppToDate
Yeah, everyone needs to support this, it is probably the best app ever made.

Re: AppToDate

Re: AppToDate
Well, I am not as happy as you all. How do I remove this virus (aka AppToDate) from my phone? If and when I want to update something, I'll do it myself. If I want some utility do updates, I'll install it myself. I don't need or want some sneaky virus subversively installing itself on my phone, and possibly running covertly. I can't find anything called "AppToDate" under Remove Programs (most virus's hide themselves so this doesn't surprise me). I did, however, find a subdirectory called "AppToDate" hiding under Application Data.

Re: AppToDate

Re: AppToDate
this program is a good idea but mine often crashes when updating two programs. It will install the first program update and the second it will rainbow wheel endlessly
