THIS IS A BETA - IT IS NOT YET TESTED!! Don't be surprised if somethings don't work as before or even at all (though I've been using it for months without problems)
MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE USING IT!!

What's new:

Support for backlight/WLAN for most new devices
Backlight changes on power change for devices with only one backlight setting
Location expanded to support several new methods (GPS still not ready) and also wakes up to check location if requested.

Email alarms based on subject, sender or Hi-priority flag are ALMOST finished, just needs a small fix for WM 5.0 devices
Goodlink email/calender repeating alarms should be supported
Flexmail support is still in progress wink
Network snapshots - you can create a specific network setup, then restore this with the profile (make a backup before trying this in 1st beta!)
Repeating reminder alarms (only on WM 5.0)

There is now customisation via the phoneAlarm_User.cfg. Open this in a Text-Editor to see what is possible - it is reasonably well documented
This allows many settings for specific user groups or devices to be added without me overloading the UI for all other users.

What's coming still:

LOTS grin
Voice Command support
New skin editor
Call Forwarding completely reworked (and support for forward just on Busy, No Answer), Forward to voicemail
Cost/Billing expanded and cost calculation per call.
Backlight control for night
More skin features (SkinOnAlarm....)
Option for Screen off after finishing a call (if device sleeping before)
....

Looking forward to your feedback wink and any users with newer devices with any problems.
Expect an update every 2-3 days, but final release is planned at the EARLIEST at end of March.

Thanks and have fun smiley

I have attached the Full and Lite Versions Below... if that is not ok Mod feel free to remove ... remember these are just trials if you dont have the full or lite version Purchased

I believe v1.60 is for smartphone, but I could be wrong.

Nope, it's under the regular section of the Pocketmax forums, not the PA smartphone one :D

Phone Alarm.

Excuse my ignorance. What is this program good for?

Pibe38 02-19-2007 11:02 PM

Phonealarm is basically a notification manager. It has profiles for notifications that can be set up by event, it is highly skinnable for the plugin displayed on the Today screen, etc.

I now understand why this is a must have for pretty much everyone. :toothy7: I am using the full trial version I believe and I love it. However I do have a question. When my phone is on vibrate it won't vibrate when I recieve a call? Is this common? :dontknow: Secondly, how can I move phone alarm to the top row of my today screen. The highest I have been able to place it is right below the type a name or number option? Is it possible to remove that all together? I am going to have to invest in this program I guess I was just always nervous about buying a program off line that didn't include a cd because if something happened I could always use that cd again will i have that problem after purchasing phone alarm this weekend if I need to reinstall it for whatever reason? Thanks I am joining the phone alarm team because of you guys :thumbleft:

do a search and read the forums there is a program to hide that line called hide logo. it works amazingly almost all the users here hide that line. it reappears when you begin to type a name or number.

Pibe38 03-23-2007 02:57 PM

To hide that lookup field, just go to Menu - Hide Lookup Field. This option will make it pop up only when you type or start typing a contact's name.

As far as buying the program online, don't worry. You actually get a registration code, not a full version of the program. What this code does is activate the trial version to the full version. If you ever need the application, download it again and use your reg code. You also get free upgrades to the next version. So if you buy version 1.58, which is the current one, you get free upgrades up to version 1.99 so to speak. You probably would have to pay to upgrade to version 2.0

Also, make sure you read all the instructions when buying online, some applications need you to put the Owner Name because it makes a reg code according to the Owner Name. Remember not to mox up the owner name with the device name.

Juslisten 03-23-2007 09:51 PM

That makes me feel a better knowing that :o My device name is the one that I set up with active sync correct? If I am wrong please lead me in the right direction I plan on buying this program no later than sunday it is a must have :D

Does anyone else have the problems of the phone not vibrating when the phone rings (happened once but it works fine now) or tapping the icon for sms and receiving an error message.

Pibe38 03-25-2007 12:50 AM

Yes, but you need the OWNER NAME... which can be found under personal info I think... don't have my phone with me right now.

You know... I thought that post didn't go through, I must have clicked submit 10 times and got the dreaded 500 error until I gave up... glad it's there!

As far as the phone not vibrating... can't recall it, but if it happened once and then fied itself may have been a good ole' glitch.
