TouchBrowser for Pocket PC
http://www.makayama.com/touchbrowser.html
NEW Get iPhone-style internet browsing on your Pocket PC. TouchBrowser lets you control everything using only your fingers. You can type using the large keyboard, glide through web content and scroll through pages with a flick, with full page view. Tired of Pocket Internet Explorer? Forget about the stylus, the tiny scrollbars and the keyhole view of the internet. TouchBrowser gives you the smooth webbrowsing experience of the iPhone, right on your Pocket PC. It lets you scroll pages with animation and iPhone inertia effects for easy reading. You can use you finger to move the webpage around the screen, something Internet Explorer can't do. Websites designed for mobile use can be watched in 'mobile view' and full pages in 'desktop view'. A built-in navigation aid tells you what section of a page you're reading, so you never get lost. A large finger-keyboard lets you enter URLs with ease, or enter Google searches directly from the keyboard. No stylus needed. |

I reported on this earlier today. The app looks like a good idea, but it is a complete rip off once you read the manual. Quote:

Re: TouchBrowser for Pocket PC
if you want to stick with PIE, you can download Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 and go to xda and find XDA's IE 6.1, does all of what is described in the first post...
On a side note about being free- if theres a WILL theres a WAY, google is your best friend, nuff said? |
Re: TouchBrowser for Pocket PC
If you're looking for a good browser that is kind of like the iPhone browser try Picsel browser or the one I prefer, Opera Mini.

TouchBrowser for Pocket PC 1.0 TouchBrowser for Pocket PC It's really not a browser. It's just an overlay that tries to improve use of Internet Explorer Mobile. Basically, it sucks. Plus, it costs money. |
Re: Touch Browser
Seeing as how this is being discussed elsewhere, I'm gonna close this one down.
Thanks for your understanding. late, Coz |
TouchBrowser for PPC 1.1.3 (Safari type browsing)
I just downloaded an iPhone style browser made for PPC's called TouchBrowser and it is supposed to look and feel like iPhone's Safari browser. I only downloaded the trial version but I am wondering if anyone else has tried this browser. It looks sweet and feels like Safari as well. The trial has some limitations but all in all it looks like it is worth the $15 they are asking for it. I have spent more than this just to get a gut ache at a fast food joint so I think I am going to pay the fee so I do not have the limitations they have placed on the tiral version.
There is a demo version available at www.makayama.com for anyone interested in trying it on your Touch phone. Would love to hear what others have to say. |

Re: TouchBrowser for Pocket PC
Cozboobie.... thanks for merging the threads.... I punished myself for starting another thread on an already open topic by putting my Touch in my pocket for 30 minutes... seemed more like a life sentence... but you get the picture!
