omg I'm such a noob here I actually feel bad about it.
 

I just got my first ppc. my wife and I got one so we could be more productive with our business.

We each got a verizon vx6800. I believe it is the same as an HTC mogul.

anyhow, my buddy has a 6700 and he has "kitchen" installed which he used to overclock his pda. his is so much faster than mine.

he said he didn't know if I could get it for the 6800 and I searched the internet but couldn't find anything conclusive. Just so you all know, I may be a ppc noob but I'm very tech savvy in every other area so don't be shy with technical terms or whatever.

ok, so now a few questions: please be patient with me, I'm extremely fragile.

1. how can I speed up my 6800? it sucks the way it is.

2. how can I make the "slider iphone style unlock" program activate by pressing my power/backlight button?

3. how do I defrag this device? I mean, when I got it last week, ofcourse I loaded a bunch of crapware on it due to novelty but most of it either didn't work well or at all and so I just went in through file explorer and deleted the stuff. (what a dumbass I am)

I've got a bunch more questions but I think I'll organize them and ask them seperately.

1. Go over to the registery tweeks forum... you'll find a wealth of info on how to speed up your PPC

2. No idea

3. Search out some software. I use SDKTools on my Mogul to clean things out once and a while and it works great but you have to pay for it.

Use the Seach too...you'll find an answer to pretty much everything you're after by using it.... Success100 will rip you a new one, errr welcome you with open arms, if you ask a question that's easily found using the Search feature... lol

Seeing as how most the onus is now placed on moveright to hunker down and start reading....I'm gonna close this thread.

I'll add a few comments though...read, read, read, read, read, read, search, search, play with phone, read, read, read, read.

Seriously, SKTools or MemMaid are must haves for keeping your phone clean (e.g., clean out temp files, cookies, etc.). There are numerous threads discussing both.

For Slide 2 Unlock there again, are numerous threads. Same with ways to speed up your device.
