Re: SPB Mobile Shell + Pocket PLUS Please HELP

Thanks for that link man, I love how helpful people are on this forum. That thread was weird because I thought that one of the major selling points for WM^ was the fact that x closes out apps, I never had a problem with apps minimizing and not closing until now. I'll try out that app though so thanks alot!

No problem, glad to help. There are some pretty major hitters in this community. I am JUST reaching the point of being able to give back, but a lot of people (like Coz above) are true PPC guru's!! Good luck, and have fun!!!

I went the same route, I used the trial of Mobile Shell, but then decided to remove it. I don't like having redundant stuff on my phone, and to me, the NOW screen was the same thing as the Today screen. Anyhow, mine removed fine without any problems.

SPB has a good support forum. Most of the guys there know that software pretty good, so you might want to post your question there.

Good luck with it, I am glad I didn't have that problem, but then again, I only used Mobile Shell, and not Pocket plus.

I have a ? about spb..

I uninstalled it & did a soft reset & on the bottom right of my mogul its says SPB menu on the lower left tab.... & Contacts on the lower right tab.

When I press either one it gives me an error message.

Here's my ?.

How do I get rid of that error type message?

What device do you have? WM (at least 5 that I am used to) does not truly close apps....like your describing. So I wonder if you had another app that did that task, or you just did not have enough running to notice? If you need one, MagicButton is free, and does what you need and more!!

It sounds like the uninstall didn't go well. I would use Memmaid or SKTools to clean out your device of the remainder of the program.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell + Pocket PLUS Please HELP

bumping this. I installed mobile shell and pocket plus, and it disabled the stock HTC task manager. I do like the Start Menu-esque app switcher/closer, but for some reason I really miss seeing the cpu utilization and being able to bring up the full task manager. I uninstalled pocket plus, and it removed the spb task manager, but didn't replace the stock htc task manager. Any ideas? :/

Updated:
In case anyone else comes across this problem or thread, I found a semi-fix for this. I installed the following HTC Task Switcher 2.1 cab and while it isn't perfect, the task icon that displays in the taskbar is smaller than the original, and there's some graphic overlay funkiness when you bring it up on the TF3D Home screen (task icon + X close icon) but it brings up the running tasks, cpu utilization much like the stock version.

I tried to uninstall SPB Pocket Plus 4 from my Palm Treo 750 running WM6. It took the task manager with it !!!

I do find pBar is a decent free x button and task manager, but I like having both (I map task manager to a side button for quick access).

Check out pBar.exe you may like it.
