google maps help(location error)
 

Hello all, I've just installed google maps last night and it worked fine. This morning I sent my kid to school and turned it on and my location was being tracked approximately 2 mi away from where I actually was. Is this the right place to post. If not then please move. Has anyone had this problem? It looks like a business building when in satelite mode zoomed in. Stronger gps receiver?? Any feedback would be great. Last night was around 11pm so most businesses were closed.

soft reset the phone, launch google maps while outside and in the open.... sometimes it takes a while to connect on the first startup.... after trying this let us know if it worked or not.

i did just that and uninstall/reinstall. all is well now. thanks

good to hear, next i'd suggest taking a look at Livesearch... it's a much better gps nav app with more street detail and better features... all still free.
