S2U2 with S2P....no april fools!!!!!
 

A_C has done it!!! The new version of S2U2 is integrated to S2P in a way that will be sure to please!! It is still in testing stage, but as I mentioned in the S2P thread, here is what it looks like:

Changes of v1.00
- integration with S2P (v0.38 or later): When S2P is running, the title & album art of the current playback will be displayed on S2U2. Tapping the screen will call up the music control buttions. If DPAD is enabled, the hardware keys (DPAD & volume up/down) will also be functional as on S2P.
- when "Missing Call" is displayed, drag this phase from left to right will dismiss the missed call.

- added one more syntax for UserWeather:
"icon|index|string" where "icon" is C (custom), "index" is the weather icon & "string" will be the message displayed underneath the weather icon. e.g. "C|50|Rainning" means the \gfx\weather\50.png icon & "Rainning" will be shown.

Thanks for the update. i have both currently and work very well. One question though, if I donload the update do i need to reset the options from the original version or does it automatically save them? it is a pain to do everyhting all over again. thanks.

Mine tend to stay as they were before the upgrade, but I have heard of people having to reset everything. I installed the new S2U2 this morning and everything is just as I had it!!!

It's as real as it gets!!! I have been running this baby through the ringer, and they are both running in top form!!!!

Two small things I have noticed though....

-In the ReadMe, it mentions sliding on the screen to desmiss the missed call notification....I haven't gotten it to work yet!!

-If both are running, the D-pad will navigate going through the songs and control volume...you have to slide to unlock on-screen.....tricky to get used to!!!!

Neither one inhibits use, or is considered by me as a bug....I am thrilled with both!!!!!

I know how to tell the Slide to Unlocok where to find my pictures but can anyopne tell me how to tell it which one of my pictures to use as the wallpaper. IT APPARANTLY JUST PICKS ONE.

In the settings, do you have the rotating wallpaper set? If your using S2V as well, chose the walpaper for S2U2 from there, or you can do it old-school, and rename the image Wallpaper.___ and save it in the S2U2's gfx folfer, then go into S2U2's settings app and chose option 1 (if the image is a jpg) or option 2 (if the image is a gif).

Good luck, personally I both suggest and use S2V (a LOT easier if your only using one image)!!!

If you WANT changing images, you need to go further into the menu and activate the 'Change JPG Wallpaper Every' (whatever timing you like), or 'Change JPG Wallpaper Randomly' after setting option 3 or 4 (depending on where your pics are). Judging by the wording of your choices, ALL the images need to be jpg. If you have any gif in the folder, that may be a problem.

Confusing I know, but I hope it helped a bit.

I'm not familiar with S2V. But i use both the slide to play and slide to unlock apps. I just installed the new version of S2U2 above and mine doesn't do anything different. Do i need to completely remove the old version first? I did do the soft reset aftet installing the newer verison.

I have installed and it cant get S2P to come up on the lock screen. It just shows my the picture i selected. How do i select the S2P?

The new version S2U2 will not really do anything different untill you run S2P. When you first start the lock, or go into the settings you can see A_C's tag scroll across with the new version # on it. I will attatch S2V for you here, it is worth a look!!

You need the current version of S2P installed as well....the two new versions are made to work together....does that help?

Thanks Sy, so the S2V is the new version of S2P? That's the way I understood it. Too bad i cant try it now because i dropped my phone from a seated position onto a carpeted floor and now its dead. I can only see a third of my screen!! Bummer! I have version 0.31 of S2P. That wont work with the new S2U Pro correct?

I think I may have confused you a bit....sorry. S2V is Slide to View, I posted that for finding wallpaper for S2U2. S2P is still S2P, but a newer version than the one you have. I posted it in the first post of this thread, it is version .38, and you need this version as well as version 1.0 od S2U2 to get the cover art to show while locked.

Sorry about your phone, hopefully you get a fully operational device soon...these apps are killer!!!

Thanks Bro! I did get another phone and all three apps work great! I was using The windows Camera App....but once i got S2V to work i 86'd the Camera app. Good stuff thanks for the recommend. I'm tipping the scales for ya.

I've been an A_C follower for a long time, this trilogy of apps are the best interacting apps I have ever used!!! Glad you got a new device and got them running....if you run into any problems, just shout out here or over in XDA, we will be glad to help!!!

I got the upgrade on s2u2 and s2p awesome apps and loving the new feature. Here the deal it works great but once in awhile my sound goes off completely on the device. I have to soft reset to get it back on. I did have it running perfect for a day or two but today i ended up changing the slide button icon and the slideanis and this is when it started. Any ideas? I wouldnt think switching the icon would cause that or its just a bug? anyone have this issue?

That is a new one by me....have you installed anything else lately, or any reg tweaks? I know of a few apps and tweaks that have that reaction, but the slide buttons shouldn't. I haven't seen that mentioned in the S2U2 forum either. You may want to ask A_C over there...maybe it is something with your device, and others with the same one will chime in with suggestions!!

edit: drunkinmonk....I saw your post over at XDA, and I am out of my element with the Touch, so hopefully others will chime in. The tweak that I know messed up my volume (700WX) was replacing the battery icon with a volume icon. The app I know will do that is WA....(SOMETIMES).

I did tweak my batter icon but i've had that for a few month since omj tin has been out. now when I get this issue if I dont reset in a few mins. it locks up.

I had the batter icon tweak for a long time before it started going on me, that could be something to look into!! Hopefully somebody else in here or XDA can chime in here!!

Hey, that's a pretty decent clone of the iphone/touch. Now, if he can just add the hardware home button you press twice to wake it up and pop up the controls, he's got it ;)

Just curious....what function are you looking for? I don't recognize the process your describing.
