HTC Touch won't wake up when using Inesoft Address Book

I have a stock HTC Touch with Inesoft Address Book, I use it for the photo caller ID. Ever since I installed it my phone notifies me of calls, texts, emails only when I "wake it up." While the screen is off nothing happens but when I wake it up I get a flood of missed call notifications and text messages.

I heard turning off the Today timout sometimes helps.
Start>Settings>Today>Items>uncheck Today timeout
