HTC Mogul: HHC and HTC Cube = Contacts Conflict?

Hi, I'm sure this has been covered before, but couldn't figure out terms to query for a search so here's my problem:

The HHC works fine when HTC Cube isn't installed i.e. I have Home/Contacts/Weather/Fav Apps/Ring Setting/Music Player all enabled and showing up on the Today page.

I install HTC Cube interface, do a reset, and the "Fav Contacts" in the HHC disappears inexplicably--everything else shows fine.

Is there a fix for this or something I can do to make the "Fav Contacts"
from going away?

Thanks in advance. :D

I remember reading that there is some sort of of bug/conflict where you cannot have both the cube contacts and the home contacts at the same time because they use the same biotouch registry structure or something. Im not sure exactly, but you aren't going crazy and it is a conflict between the cube and the Home. The stock Sprint Touch home plugin doesn't even have the contacts tab available, most likely because of the conflict.

you know i have had the same problem...one of my friends also has this problem only she has the HTC Touch so when she resets the phone, her contacts on the HTC Home plugin are deleted and she has to reput them into there...makes sense with the cube and all..

There is a registry entry out there that you can change in order to enable both. Not sure exactly where it is, but the search button might help you find it!

no, I don't think so. the reg key you need to delete is HKLM\Software\OEM\MASD\QuickDial, and after a soft reset, your contacts should be back in the HTC Home plugin.

I stumbled across this thread and tried the reg edit fix. It didn't work. I then uninstalled Biotouch Cube and that did the trick. I think both may have to be done.
