Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
this program sucks and is a memory hog. the only thing it does over 1.5 is ad a contacts page which you can put 12 in if i'm not mistaking. ohh yea and the fact that you can change in between the 3 pages by finger gesture. i'll stick to 1.5 much quicker. plus i only use it for browsing through my programs and stuff.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
I really don't see any time lag in mine, and the memory footprint is virtually identical to the previous version in my WX....maybe I got lucky, but I kinda like it!!

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
I agree with syrguy...it seems pretty snappy. Even changing between tabs on the today screen seems faster.
Could be due to the superiority of the 700wx though;) late, Coz |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
the program doesn't lag or hog at all on my mogul.. i love it actually.. just what i needed.. has everything i want on the now screen.. and the tabs are exactly what i want too.. spb did their research for sure

Newer devices use the MSM-7xxx series with the ARM 11 processor which...err..under-performs to put it nicely. In other words on my 700wx, PointUI's animations were very fluid whereas on the Mogul is was choppy. This is the whole "slow graphics on HTC devices" controversy rearing it's head. Another option to consider: kill SPB MS using a process viewer and now UPX (UPX4PPC) that file and the other one--this will make the program even more zippy and save on ROM space. |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
I am loving it so far! Got it running on the Touch. I wish I could figure out how to get TouchFLO to open Mobile Shell instead of the cube. That's so yesterday!! ;)
Anyone have any ideas? |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
You can "open" open mobile shell by dragging from the start button to the middle of your screen (diagonally) and holding. There you will see the 3 screens come to the foreground and you can pick which one you want to go to...
|
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
You can just drag straight down from the top of the screen actually

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
I'm running the beta version from the xda site & haven't noticed any degradation of the phone. I did notice that the full functionality of the app isn't there. When I tap the e-mail/MMS/Missed call buttons nothing happens. Is this just me or has anyone else noticed this?

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
This is a very nice upgrade so far. They did a great job with their TouchFlo/Cube thing. I like the contacts section of the app. Also the animation is very smooth. Looks like you can customize the Now Screen with plugins (does not work right now). The weather is still not any where near WP or PW 2.0, where is my city. :( I would still like to see this app and Pocket Plus merge together.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta

I just think that these two apps should be combined. |
Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
You can now download full version from SPB
Just in case you didn't know this already |

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
Is it possible to move SPB Mobile Shell on the today screen. When I go to settings and try to move it below HTC Home, Mobile Shell is unmovable.
Any Ideas? |

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 Beta
I just downloaded the trial release version. Is there a way for the "Now" screen to be my default today screen.
I'm running this on a Sprint Touch, and currently when I exit out of programs or hold down the end key, it defaults to the Touch Home screen and I want it to go back to the SPB MobileShell Now screen. Thanks |
